Lyudinovo

Lyudinovo (Russian: Людиново) is a town and the administrative center of Lyudinovsky District of Kaluga Oblast, Russia, located on the shores of Lake Lompad formed by a dam on the Nepolot River, 65 kilometers (40 mi) north of Bryansk and 188 kilometers (117 mi) southwest of Kaluga. Population: 40,530 (2010 Census);1 41,829 (2002 Census);2 43,696 (1989 Census);3 34,000 (1970).
History
The village of Lyudinovo was first mentioned in 1626. Later on, it grew into an industrial town and was granted town status in 1938.
