Hyundai Mobis (short for Mobile and System) is an auto parts company headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. It was established in 1977 as Hyundai Precision & Industries Corporation (Korean: 현대정공/現代精工). In 2000, the company changed its name to Hyundai Mobis. The company forms the 'parts and service' arm for the South Korean automakers Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors.

Car production

In the 1990s, Hyundai Precision was producing the Hyundai Galloper and Hyundai Santamo cars. In some markets the cars were sold under the Galloper brand name. Production of these cars shifted to the Hyundai Motor Company in 1999.
