The role of Cabinet of Moldova is "to carry out the domestic and foreign policy of the State and to apply general control over the work of public administration," according to Constitution of Moldova (1994).

The structure of the cabinet

"The Government consists of a Prime Minister, a first Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and other board Members, as determined by organic law," according to Constitution of Moldova (1994).

Moldova is a Republic with a democracy governed according to the principles of parliamentarism.

Legislative power is vested in the Parliament of Moldova. Executive affairs of government are decided by the Government of Moldova, which is led by the Prime Minister.
